Lindsey grimaced at the mention of the song. "Don't even joke about that." It seemed that the one introduction he hadn't been sure about was the one he probably should have made. But Cathy made it easily enough herself.
After the exchange, he followed Cathy to her chair to pull it out for her, then took the last remaining seat. He was oddly thankful that Peter's date had turned out to be someone Cathy knew, that he knew, to get rid of the initial awkwardness that sometimes came with introductions. Instead, it seemed to bypass that bumpy road for a smoother one, so far.
Lindsey scoffed, amused. Of all the things he had been honest with Cathy about, there was one little omittance, actually a forgotten detail, that he realized might come back to bite him in the ass. But he was willing to deal with that if and when it came to pass. "I'm shocked that you would think we could be anything but well behaved," he replied, trying and failing to contain a smirk.
