None of this ever got old, not just because a night in was just as good as a night out for Sarah and so they didn't go out all the time, but because that look in his eyes always stirred that heady mixture of emotions that came with her answering response. Especially tonight, when she'd had to take in the dress to make it fit right still.
Of course, it also made it damned hard to resist whatever he said after that look was set free, complete with that purr that never failed to send her imagination running rampant.
"So can I, but that's why you're taking the whole night off," she said, words saying one thing, the way she relaxed against him all but bonelessly saying another. But they did have plans and people were waiting on them. Time to find a little willpower.
"Besides, I just put all of this on," she said, sliding her hands up to his collar, tugging him until their lips were a breath apart so she could whisper, "you don't get to take it all back off just yet." But it was a promise and after she had straightened his collar, she stepped back, beckoning to him with one crooked finger as she took his hand.
"Come on, to the Lux we go." And the scenery melted around them, reforming near the Lux. Still leading him in case he had any ideas about lingering in shadowed nooks of buildings, she headed toward the doors.
