Faith gave her an odd look, wondering if she really meant that.
"Good. Because not talking about your problems leads to bad things. Like going crazy and killing people. Trust me, I know on that one." Her tone was flippant, even though a part of her was wary, just in case Heather freaked out over that.
She nodded slightly. "Lot of people know about the Angel and Angelus thing. He was a vampire, only he was cursed with a soul. So he became a good man, a hero you know? One of my best friends, believed in me when everyone else gave up. Then he lost the soul and became a monster again. Among the many many horrors he did he bit me." She tilted her head, showing the two bite scars on her neck and pointing at the older one.
"So yeah, to look at the face of someone you love and see a monster? A few around here will get that. As for the other stuff.." she paused again before shrugging slightly. "Me and my mom had issues. Including her boyfriends. some of them hated the fact she had a kid while a couple of them really loved it and not in a family friendly kinda way you know?" She didn't want to have to spell anything out as she laughed briefly and very awkwardly. "And I've never told anyone that before so yeah.."
She watched Heather for a moment.
"It makes sense. And of anyone here, you'd be entitled to throw a pity party, an epic one. I mean, I don't want to demean what's up with Kira, because I know it's rough and all, but in the grand scheme of things... he kissed someone else. Just let the guy apologize and move on already. Punch Charlie, make him grovel for a week, whatever, but it's not that big of a deal. Not in comparison to some other stuff."
