Caedus continued to drum his fingers, looking at his daughter. He reached into his bag, removed some papers, and tossed them onto the table. Between them, were a Social Security Number, a driver's license, a birth certificate, and other paper forms that created an identity for a person in this particular part of the world.
"A gift. No strings attached. Do with them what you wish. But you now officially exist within this world's information structure."
He looked down at his business management book, then back up at his daughter. "I simply wished to tell you what had happened. And to warn you that the moral superiority that the Jedi preach to you is nothing more than a veneer of arrogance to conceal their true inclinations."
Caedus looked to his side, then back at her. "I...suppose that is all." Inclining his head, he added, "I thank you for your careful attention. You're all grown up, Amelia."
