WHO: Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila
WHAT: A date! Finally!
WHEN: 10AM
WHERE: Starting at the Hyperion, no telling from there
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
Truth be told, Tahiri was a little confused. Why Peter would want her to learn how to run the front desk was beyond her. It wasn't like she'd ever given him any idea she was good with people, or had any interest in trying to clear who could and couldn't come into their Headquarters. In fact, truth be told, Tahiri would much rather be one of the ones out there on the streets, fighting the bad guys and keeping everyone safe.
Still, Peter had asked she be here so she wasn't about to tell him no. Besides, others seemed to have issue with her age, so she was starting to think he might too. Either that, or everyone was made to learn the front desk. Which, she had to admit as she left her room and made her way to the stairs, would be a pretty smart idea. If everyone knew how to do it, at least at some basic level, then they wouldn't have to go find someone who did every time a client knocked on the door.
Barefoot, as per usual, Tahiri did have with her the pair of sandals she'd purchased the day before. They were in a small, mesh bag that was light enough to carry so as to not be a bother. She doubted she'd need them since she was just doing some training in the lobby and no one had told her she had to wear shoes there, but just in case she had to leave on some sort of emergency and would need them, she had them close by.
Anakin is never going to believe I actually bought shoes, she thought with a bemused shake of her head. The slight smile turned to a mild frown as she dwelled a moment longer on Anakin. He had yet to make good on his promise of a date. In fact, she hadn't seen or really spoken to him much in the past few days and it was starting to bug her a bit. Where was all of the talk about second chances? Forgetting about Myrkr and enjoying their time together here? Had it all been a big pile of poodoo just to calm her down?
No, Tahiri didn't think that was the case. Anakin wasn't the type to offer sweet words and promises of things he didn't intend to do. Especially when it came to her. He knew better. Which meant that Tenel Ka was likely right. He was going to need a nudge to get going.
Or, in his case, probably a hard shove and flick of the ear just to be on the safe side.
Either way, she decided as she stepped into the lobby and glanced around for Claire, as soon as she was done with this training she was going to go seek him out and do just that. Because Tahiri was a lot of things, but she was not waiting for him to get off his butt and make a move anymore. If she did, she was liable to die a single, dateless old woman and that just wouldn't do.
