LaCroix wasn’t the type to apologize, he was rather obstinate and egotistical for the likes of that but he did glance at her briefly studying the young female. She seemed human yet he had felt her in his mind and that made the ancient vampire curious, just what was she if not human. Perhaps she was like some of the women of olden times who had claim to be gifted with seer sight, it seemed ridiculous now but this woman made him wonder. Quietly he wondered back to his previous line of thoughts as his gaze twisted to the dark horizon. LaCroix just couldn’t believe his luck, if he truly believed in it, which for the particular moment was much worse then bad. It was dreadful!
