Jaenelle turned towards the woman, her eyes wide, but a faint smile creeping onto her lips at the newcomer's enthusiasm. "I suppose I am," she agreed. Her voice was just a touch shaken. The shock of the change in the land was what worried her the most. A Queen was bound to the land, as the land was bound to her. It was nearly a physical wound how distant this land felt to her.
She looked up at the girl. "What Territory is this? What Realm? I don't understand. It seems..." How did you explain how a place felt lifeless when it was so clearly brimming with people? But even they were wrong. Not Blood, clearly not Blood. Most would burn in an instant if she so much as brushed their inner barriers.
