"That sounds very pleasant," Henry said. And it did, though personally he might miss cars a little, since he liked classic cars.
"Ashfield is a city, but a small one. There's a subway to get around on--" It occurred to him that she might not know the word. "A train that runs underground."
He tried to characterize Ashfield in his mind. "And there are some old buildings that I liked taking pictures of. But the people... I can't say they were very friendly. Then again, I pretty much kept to myself. But when I was stuck in my apartment -- that's a long story -- only the next-door neighbor and the superintendent came to look for me. But I do miss Ashfield."
He wondered how Eileen was, how his parents were. But he didn't want to seem to be complaining. He had an apartment and a camera and that should be enough.
