She nodded her head briefly in an answer to his question. Her memories took her back to that day at Hogwarts. There had been over fifty people dead from that battle, too many of them had been students, and others who were fighting with the Order and the DA. "We won." she said weakly, though that day didn't seem much like a victory, considering everything they lost.
"He's dead. And all the Death Eaters were either killed or locked away." and Ginny was willing to bet the Ministry had let some Dementors preform the kiss without telling the general public. "All but the Malfoy's, anyway, they were pardoned for helping Harry." well, really, it had been Mrs. Malfoy who had helped, while Draco and his father had just sort of...done nothing. They were all gone, including the one who had caused Fred's death. He'd never see the light of day again, and while she never said it, she really hoped that the Death Eater was missing his soul.
Her arms held on a little tighter, almost feeling like she was sixteen all over again. She choked back a sob, taking a deep breath to stead herself. "I - we- everyone's missed you, so much. Nothing's been the same since." At home everyone always became quiet whenever Fred was mentioned. Most of the time, unless they were thinking back on some of his greater moments. Molly still started randomly crying at times. The Weasley's just weren't the same without him, especially George.
Ginny pulled her head back slightly from him so she could dry her face off with her sleeve, a weak smile coming to her face. "Well, I sort of wish I was sixteen again."
