“Ah, sweet.” Abby lifted her head as if she was about to nod, she had no idea why she ventured further with the topic, it was obviously awkward. “She could’ve said much worse,” and yet she still kept the conversation going. “You’re more than Sweet, Con. Just don’t tell anyone I said that, yeah?” Abby grinned, still not looking at him, it was easier that way. “I fed him this morning before coming here, but you know what he’s like, he could be hungry.”
Abby didn’t hold it against him, at least it hadn’t been a bullet loaded gun, that would have turned out much worse. “No, because I’ve made sure to stand out of the way when you’ve got one.” She looked at him again with a teasing smile, just to let him know she was only teasing. She would trust him with her life, even if he was a bit clumsy sometimes.
“No, he won’t.” She narrowed her eyes ever so slightly, “ok lets not walk and get a taxi instead.” Abby stopped walking and started to keep an eye out for one. It wasn’t as if she was lacking in exercise, between her own exercise routines, work had been busy too. With Stephen gone and Connor missing the team had to do more than twice as much.
