“Maybe cavemen never thought about having pets so never got to the training them stage.” Abby suggested, also keeping her voice low. Honestly she just liked the fact that Rex would listen, it was more than what any other pet she had ever had had done. “Does it really matter? He’s not plotting against us, he’s listening.”
Abby folded her arms and looked thoughtful, trying to find off the amused grin. Yeah she had definitely missed the banter. “Ah so that’s what you do so late,” she nodded slowly not keeping the grin back this time. “He does not! Do you Rex?” She leant over to scratch the top of Rex’s, “he lives there just like us. He roams freely.”
“You’ve got yourself a place?” Abby asked as she eyed Rex chewing on the collar, deciding if she should take him back or not. “No, you can hold him but if you drop him!” She pointed at him in a mock threatening manor before turning to head to the door, looking over her shoulder when she realised she hadn’t actually agreed to his place. “Your place sounds fine.”
