It had been no question really, as soon as the anomaly showed up back home she hadvolunteered to go through. Cutter didn’t think it was a good idea considering the reasons why she wanted to go had nothing to do with returning the dinosaur to its original time, it was to grab the tiny glimmer of hope that she could find Connor again. What Abby hadn’t been expecting was to land on a street, a modern day looking street.
It was only when she realised that she couldn’t return back through and that the dinosaur that inevitably should have followed wasn’t there did she decide that something went seriously wrong, which was worrying. Although something had followed her through and his name was Rex, he must have hitched a lift, hadn’t he been at home and not..Oh, it didn’t matter, at least she wasn’t entirely alone.
Sneaking into the library to hopefully find out more information had been quite easily, she hid the lizard like creature beneath her jacket or tried to anyway and got away with making it to the compute area. There she told him to stay put beneath the desk while she found out some details, of course she wasn’t expecting him to listen but she had become distracted on finding out Connor was also there and alive!
The same Connor she was now staring at as he approached and took up a seat next to her, she had spoken to him over the boards but to actually see him in the flesh again was something else, he was safe. Abby was about to respond when he..poked her. “Yes, I’m real. There’s no need to go poking me.” She didn’t look or sound annoyed, surprisingly enough – to her at least- she reached over to hug him. She had thought he was dead after all or lost god knows when without being able to get back. “If we’re going to be pointing out the obvious then..you’re alive!”
