She wasn't surprised to hear that. She'd felt it was safe to assume he'd been having problems keeping his stubborn streak in place, especially lately. "Yeah, well...no more of that. No more dreaming, okay? I want this."
Settling down next to him, she glanced down at their joined hands and couldn't help but smile warmly. It looked nice, the way their fingers wound in between each other like that, the way her smaller hand fit perfectly inside of his own. Did all hands go so well together? She didn't know.
At his words, she looked up and gave him the same smile she'd been wearing while she was gazing at their hands. "I told you, Sam," she said gently, shaking her head a little. "You'd come to your senses eventually." That had been spoken as half a joke, but as she continued, she became entirely serious. "You've known how I felt about you for a long time now. I love you, and I never felt this way about anyone. I'm not going to give up that easily, especially when I knew deep down, you wanted to be with me, too."
