"No," he told her, the corner of his mouth lifting upward in slight amusement, "you're never waking up again. Neither of us are." Not in the most literal sense, of course, as he liked seeing Heather on a daily basis, but he wanted to make sure that this wasn't all just some silly moment when they got caught up in the motions. Heather was important to him. He wanted to make sure that she knew that she was going to stay that way.
One of his hands slid back and latched onto her fingers, lightly tangling them into his own. He pressed his mouth against hers again and quietly said, "Want to sit?"
