"What if he isn't telling the truth, though?" Starscream shot back, still watching Mantis suspiciously. He gave his bond-mate a desperate glance, and was frozen at the look in the other man's eyes. --Right. Being paranoid was probably not the best course of action, and it wasn't something that Skyfire himself much enjoyed about him, he knew. For a moment, then, he was silent, teeth digging into his lower lip as he glanced back to the silent, masked human in the door. At last, however, he sighed and shook his head. ".. Okay," he gave in, and turned to poke his lover in the chest with an index finger, "but if it turns out that he's a mass-murderer with our names on his list, I reserve the right to say 'I told you so'." He stepped away, then, moving to the bedroom to get dressed.
Mantis, staring after the other man for a moment, finally allowed his gaze to slide back to Skyfire, hands moving to bury themselves in the hem of his oversized sweater. "Clairvoyant," he answered the unspoken question, faint amusement beneath the weary pain in his voice. "Knew you would eventually end up at Hyperion. Decided to bypass trouble and bring you there myself." He tilted his head again, gray eyes curious beneath the darkened lenses of his mask. "Will like Cordelia and Angel." He paused, glancing back in the direction Starscream had gone. "He may not. Suspicious."
