Amelia blinked, flinching back a bit at the scolding. Had she actually just called her by her full birth name? Apparently, she decided, telling Tenel Ka hadn't been the smartest idea she'd ever had.
"There's no possible way he could have pulled tricks on me. Don't you think I've prepared for something like that?" she questioned, opting to keep her cool and explain, logically, why she'd done it rather than react emotionally to the scolding. "I've spent almost every day of my life wondering what I would say, if I ever had the chance to speak to him. What would I do, if I suddenly found myself face to face? I've thought about it, prepared for it even though I knew it was impossible. And then all of a sudden it is possible. I had to meet with him. I had to see... to know. I had to."
She made no apologies for what she'd done. No, she wasn't sorry for it in the slightest. Meeting him, if anything, had shown her what an obvious difference between Caedus and Jacen there was. That helped, having that clarification. It helped a lot, when dealing with Jacen especially.
Another sip of her tea and she added, "I made sure someone knew where I was going, and I wasn't dumb enough to agree to anything or anything stupid like that. I had a few questions for him. That's it."
