The Bar, Lilith & [OPEN]
As promised by the owner, Lilith received the invitation to the opening event. Gala and parties were not quite the preferences of how to spend her time. Saving lives was so much important, but what forced her to attend was the overwhelming thirst the nanomachines suffered within her bloodstream and the urge to become violent and hunt to quench it. That wasn’t acceptable. She wouldn’t hurt a soul to take the nourishment. Catered to all species should include Krsnik and she prayed for vampires to donate blood as much humans did.
Calmly, she made her way downstairs to the sublevel. Lilith expected she would pass unnoticed under the disguise of loud music, blinding lights and smoke while she settled into the bar and waited to be attended. Perhaps it was a bad idea to wear the sari. She had tried to sport an elegant fabric to blend in a luxurious environment, however a tall Indian woman with brownish red hair and almost golden eyes dressed with traditional clothes and jewels wasn’t subtle. What if the owner was boasting about serving everyone? she thought, troubled by this. Perhaps this hadn’t been a good step, but she was running out of options.
Leaning on the bar, Lilith waited while she looked at the dancing floor. They were enjoying themselves greatly and that kind of fun – without violence or hatred – made her a little happier inside.
