Re: Jareth & Sarah 10pm
If Jareth was looking for respect from all that had happened in the Labyrinth, he would be waiting an eternity, as the recent challenge had taught and reaffirmed many things for Sarah, but respect for Jareth would never be one of them. It had proven that he would stop at nothing, not the harm of others or her own harm, to accomplish his twisted goals, but it had also show her his power was a scare tactic, not something that could destroy her life.
The threat slid off her as though it were nothing more than an observation about the weather, and rather than be a skilled act while inner turmoil flared, it was genuine. Jareth could snatch Peter, he could snatch her, he could snatch the others and there would always be a solution. Of course, they had more than one option if any such thing happened, thanks to the mirror now housed in the Hyperion, but Jareth didn't know that and Sarah knew even the most dramatic solution would still end how the last had, with them returning home.
"The next time?" She laughed softly, finishing her drink and sliding it across the counter to the bartender. Only once the glass had come back did she look at Jareth again. "Don't get me wrong, all the ways old and new that we nearly died because of were interesting, but there isn't going to be a next time, Jareth."
