Re: Jareth & Sarah 10pm
Sarah, on the other hand, was having a wonderful time at the bar level of the Lux, as the building incorporated the best of every kind of atmosphere under one roof. Dinner had been absolutely lovely, elegant and a nice 'special' touch to a night spent out with Peter, and the second floor perfect to follow it with its relaxed atmosphere better suited to what they usually preferred. She'd bumped into several people she knew, chatted with them all and even just listened, with a great deal of amusement, to some slightly outrageous story from the bartender as she'd had her glass refilled.
The law of averages or Los Angeles or her life said, however, that there would be a minor irritation in the works if the night was any better and that irritation produced himself as though summoned by karmic forces themselves. But for the first time in months, hearing that voice didn't start a knot somewhere deep in her stomach or prod the compulsion to see where those she most cared about were. Jareth had tested her worst fears over the last few months and she had come out of the most recent test knowing there was nothing he could throw at her or Peter or those she cared about that wouldn't be conquered.
She turned her head slowly, lifting her glass to her lips before finally replying. "Look at that, it hasn't even been two weeks," she observed.
