Heather knew that wasn't going to do much harm to him, either, but she wanted to show him she wasn't afraid to defend herself, even against him. She doubted she was very intimidating, but if she didn't do something, she would surely end up dead.
She let out a yelp when her hand hit against a nearby booksheld, and by pure instinct alone, her fingers straightened and the gun clattered to the floor.
"Yeah?" she breathed. "Then you'll love this." And she swung at fist at him with her free hand, trying to connect with his face again.
