Invisibility flickered as pain seared through Claude's brain, his body instinctively moving with the assault without fighting back. The last thing he wanted to do was make Bennet think that he was purposefully threatening him. Watching as splatters of blood fell from his nose, landing on the sidewalk, Claude gritted his teeth as he hissed under his breath, "Dammit, Bennet, I just want to talk," He spat, an edge in his voice as he yanked at the arm that Noah was holding against his back.
"I'm not looking to give you a reason to shoot me. Again," Claude said as he lifted his head, more blood spattering onto the sidewalk. "And if you don't let me up soon, I'm going to end up faceplanting into the concrete. Not that you likely care."
