She shifted herself so that she could see his face, her own screwed up in confusion and maybe flashing a hint of hurt. But it was gone before it could be properly noticed and she smirked, nodding. "Yeah, right, I just...you know, wanted to make sure we were on the same page and...whatever."
Elisabeth was both relieved and disappointed. She understood of course his lack of commitment, considering the world he just left, but she hoped that maybe one day...they could...be something more.
"I understand," she explained, reaching for his hand and linking their fingers. "Really, because you're life was scary shite, yeah? Maybe tomorrow." She was teasing, winking for emphasis.
