Fine. He asked. So she would give him the truth. Damn the consequences. She has come to the end of the road, there are only two choices. Say what she means or keep going on like she was. Selene had lived too long in silence, speaking when allowed, being scorned for her opinion.
"Every night felt the same until the night I spent with you." Selene looked down at her hands that fidgeted with the hem of her shirt. Even though she wanted so badly just to say it she could not. Selene had fallen in love with him. How could she not? He was in her head, with her always, and then when he was not in her head he was there. The smile, his voice, the occasional romantic notions that took her off guard. She had been completely taken by him. What he said though made her choke down her words. It was comfortable. Relaxed and those words from her mouth would ruin that. Wouldn't it?
"Okay." She smiled up at him, forcing the shaky nerves away. Taking a deep breath her smirk only grew. "I like it too...and I would love to stay with you tonight. My nervousness will be left behind. I promise."
