Ahsoka made a face and opened her mouth to object to his offense at her smell, when Stinky had made it so that anyone close to him reeked, except she had already noted he didn't smell. It was, with all the inconsistencies, the least of her concerns, but she did note it.
And he'd asked her a question, a surprisingly easy one considering everything. "I was cleaning the sand out of Artooey's servos," she explained patiently, "we were on our way back with Master Yoda and Master Kenobi. You were standing an arm's length away and then everyone and everything vanished."
She frowned then, not displeasure, but that continued confusion. This close to him, it was hard to deny the obvious.
"You've changed." It was quietly stated, but there was no avoiding it. This wasn't any of the things she had sensed in him before, not even those things that had flared so brightly when they were on Tatooine. Similar, but only in a very general fashion. This was something hazy and darker, but not the Dark.
Despite this, she had no reason to be put on her guard. This was her Master, and she might not always listen, might not always obey, but there was one thing she was even when causing him problems – loyal.
