Anakin had to blink a few times when she drew closer. There was a certain impulse to grab her and shake her until she acknowledged that she should have stayed where she was, but chances were, she'd only protest that since he didn't give a specific order, the point was moot.
Was she still a Padawan? Anakin was drawing in a breath to respond, when his nostrils picked up a long-forgotten, still-despised scent. His face twisted in disgust, and he moved his hand in front of his nose. "You reek of Hutt, Snips. Don't tell me you went back--" He paused. Why would she have gone back to that dustball of a planet?
"What's the last thing you remember, Ahsoka? Before you were here?" He could only hope in the Force that it had been earlier than the end of the war. Before the Purge. And if he was smelling what he thought he was (rather unfortunate to be) smelling, it was a far more favorable period in their lives.
Which was saying a lot, considering the mess of a time they'd had on Tatooine.
