There was no suppressing a shiver that skittered up her spine when he moved in closer to her, and the fact that she was reacting so involuntarily to him was what frightened her even more than the whole situation itself. She was trying to tell herself over and over again that this was not the Sam she'd been getting to know over the past few months, that this was not the Sam she suspected she was falling in love with. This was a killer with his face, and she needed to remember that. She needed to keep those thoughts of Sam being wonderful and amazing out of her head, and she needed to stop herself from coming right out and telling him how she felt.
As she dipped her head down to kiss him deeply, she realized that she wasn't doing a good job of that. Her hands went around his neck, fingers wrapping into his dark hair, and she unknowingly pressed herself down against him where she sat.
