All right. This was going a bit overboard. Of all the people he would have expected to put him up against the wall, Peter would not have been one of them. Sure, they had fought more than enough, and Peter had quite enough reason to be angry at him, but there was a point where Claude would have expected that anger to tapper off. Of course, Claude also knew that his expectations were rarely meet when he anticipated any more than the minimum from individuals. That had been proven time and time again, after all.
"Why would I expect a thank you?" Claude asked with a scowl. He'd never heard a more ridiculous question in his life. All he'd done was beat the hell out of Peter and wait for him to fight back. The rest Peter had done for himself. "You did it yourself, kid. All I did was be a pissy old bastard at you."
Leaning his head back against the wall, trying to put some space between himself and the invisible grasp, Claude furrowed his brow as he finally got a good look at Peter's full face. All right. That wasn't right.
