WHO: Ana-Lucia Cortez + Open. WHAT: Painting of all places on a wall in the middle of Los Angeles. WHERE: Somewhere between 3rd street and a middle school. WHEN: January 16th, afternoon. RATING: G. STATUS: Progress, progress.
Ana-Lucia couldn't paint for anything, in fact there wasn't an artistic bone in her body. However she was skilled at drawing faces and flowers if that made any sense. And who would have thought Cortez could draw flowers. Why the hell was she doing this? It was a charity for kids by the LAPD. Back on the force, meant back on patrol, but today was surprisingly a nice day off. She wore a baggy white t-shirt, her normal jeans and boots and her hair was tied back into a bun. Orange streaks of paint were on her cheeks and a orange and green messy paint brush in her hand.
Making slow and quick strokes against the wall. Luckily no one had approached her from the newspaper or such, last thing she wanted to do was be a hero or on the news. When passerbys walked by she didn't even look up, just kept painting the wall in front of her with grit teeth. It was hard to stand and kneel and lay sideways just to get the perfect stroke of the brush, but now she was getting the hang of it. A mural.
