Sam nodded in agreement. "Pancakes are always a good start to the day," he stated. "Kind of makes cereal and microwavable waffles look pitiful, don't they?" Up until lately, Sam didn't exactly have the time to sit down and properly enjoy a meal. He and Dean were constantly getting carryout, snatching up bags of junk from convenience stores...it was hard to eat healthy when you were a hunter, always on the move. Things had changed lately. For the better? He wasn't sure. There were still a lot of things back home that he was obligated toward. Like the apocalypse, for example. But it didn't seem like he was going to be going anywhere anytime soon, so he figured he'd just focus on the here and now.
"Doesn't happen as often as I'd like," he informed her, throwing a few of the pancakes onto his own plate. "But that's why I go all out when it does." And as though he were indicating as much, he began to pour a generous amount of chocolate syrup onto his pancakes. Flashing a smile, he set the bottle down and dug in.
