It was like they were picking right back up where they'd left off the night before. Still smiling loads, still teasing one another, and still enjoying that different sort of air that surrounded them. In the back of Heather's mind, she was wondering how long it would last because it was just too good to be true, but she didn't dare mention it or even allow it to fester inside her head. That wasn't an option.
"This is pretty much the best thing ever, first thing in the morning," she told him as she sat down, taking a plate and piling two pancakes on it just before perusing everything he'd bought to top them off with. "You need to stay over more often if this is what happens."
