Oh, how positively boring humans could be a times. Especially humans the early 21st Century. They'd yet to get interesting, even though they were on the brink of war. Give them another twenty or so years and WWIII will be breaking out and an unknown drunkard up in Montana known as Zefram Cochrane will be inspired to launch a rocket with the first human-made warp engine into space. Of course, it wouldn't be the first ship with warp capabilities to touch Earth's soil, as there was that little incident with a group of time-travelling Ferangi and their Changeling watch dog that would become known as part of the Roswell incident. Yes, part. For, that whole nonsense was more like a series of events than one single happening. Let humans believe what they wanted to believe. Q learned long ago through tormenting Jean-Luc that they were stubborn creatures whose minds were oh so difficult to change.
He stopped and raised a curious eyebrow at a group of men with cameras as they surrounded a woman stepping out of her car, shouting for her to comment and snapping all the pictures he could take. More so out of finding the group of flash-obsessed men annoying and unneeded that for the sanity of the woman trying to dodge them, Q snapped his fingers and in flash of light, made the group appear on a the roof of a building on the opposite side of the city. The woman looked shocked, but shrugged, continuing on her merry way.
Q frowned and shook his head. "Humans of this era have no respect for those who aid them, even if it wasn't for their benefit."
Then again, when did they? Perhaps some things never changed.
