Lindsey laughed, glancing down at his coffee cup. "I'll let you know which ones to avoid," he replied as he picked up the mug and took a drink, finishing out the coffee that was left before he set the mug down near the end of the table.
He weighed whether or not to reveal his hand of cards, but decided there wasn't much harm in admitting something that could set her at ease. "They do when one of their employees is a former resident." More than one but who was he to talk?
Holding up a finger, Lindsey pulled out his cell and flipped it open. "Hello. Rebecca? I need an apartment. Nice, high end for a new employee," he said then paused to listen. "Send someone over with the keys." He hung up and slid his phone back in his jacket pocket. "I've got you temporary housing until you can find something more suitable."
He got a pen from the waitress who came to refill his cup and scribbled an address down, sliding the napkin across to Bela.
