He shrugged off her last comment and started toward the entrance. Using his uninjured shoulder to nudge open the door, he waited for Heather to step outside before he followed suit. He still didn't like the idea of her having gone on the hunt with him, even if she did watch his back well enough. But it was one solid way for him to know that, in certain dangerous situations, she could hold her own well enough. It was a comforting feeling. Sort of.
