"Or maybe not," she echoed, giving him a lopsided smile.
And now he was acting weird. Wasn't Heather the one who was supposed to be taking care of the weird part of their interactions? Apparently not, what with the way he was stammering and avoiding eye contact all of a sudden. She didn't make mention of that, either, though. If he wanted to say or do something, it was up to him, but she refused to embarrass herself in front of him again. She'd done that quite enough. But she was definitely curious.
