Too real. This was all getting far too real, too fast. She had to pull it together. A ghost of a voice in the back of her head rang. Use it. It was harder to do this time and she shook her head. USE IT. It was a harsh demand, but then again Blade was never know for kind words or sentiments.
She couldn't stop shaking though, no matter how hard she tried, but she did see things a little more clearly now. The bastard was smart. He was playing on her emotions, making her afraid. She couldn't let him win. Abby didn't jump when Booth touched her. She just looked up at him, wiping the tears from her eyes and silently thanked him.
"Go check on your partner. I'm fine." Slowly she pulled herself to her feet, the one revolver she had still on her she pulled from it's holster and stood by the door leading to the basement. She'd couldn't go back down there, not unless she King needed her. She hoped and prayed to god Drake wasn't down there.
Leaning her head back against the wall she sighed. "We gotta get some security on this place. Soon." Her heart wouldn't stop pounding. She'd be much more relaxed when King came back up. But she knew the sight down there would probably effect him as well. Just not as badly.
