It was too early in the morning but Faith still hadn't gone to bed, sticking to her now usual routine of finding a bar and alternating between drinking too much and beating up some demons. Last night had leaned more towards the fighting than the alcohol and she was even relatively sober for a change as she wandered aimlessly through the city.
She rounded a corner and immediately felt like she'd been punched in the guts as she saw him. She froze for a moment before realizing it had to be Booth. Despite the offer of a room at the Fire House she hadn't actually stayed there yet, preferring to keep to herself for a while. Besides with all the enemies she'd been making lately she didn't exactly relish the idea of leading them back to the others there, even if she knew Abby for one could handle herself.
Briefly she considered leaving before remembering the pep talk, or rather his version of one, from Lindsey. While they hadn't exactly covered the idea of Angel's double, it seemed that running away from him wouldn't exactly be the best way to move on.
So she moved forward, clearing her throat as Booth was bent forward before smiling awkwardly.
"Hey."
So maybe she won the prize for lamest intro ever, but it was a step up from running away.
