WHO: Sarah Williams, Peter Petrelli WHERE: the roof of the Hyperion WHEN: Friday, August 26; early evening, after this WHAT: Sarah is bummed. RATING: TBD STATUS: thread; in-progress
It wasn't often that there was any warning for people going away and Sarah had always thought that was hard, but then the knowledge that Elaine would be leaving had come along and proved that knowing was harder. It meant actual goodbyes, or it should, and Sarah couldn't do that. She didn't want to say goodbye and she knew it was selfish.
But she understood why, especially now that she knew who Elaine really was, even if understanding didn't lessen the sadness.
It wouldn't be the first time karaoke had been the outlet for something she was feeling, as the key for Sarah, as far as 'karaoke therapy' went, was to pick a song that got the feeling out all at once, or at least tried. One song had been in her head since coming to the rooftop, but she hadn't mustered the desire to leave the hotel to go to her favorite karaoke bar, the one where they'd made certain to widen their selection of musicals after she had become a regular, and sing it. She didn't want to gather a few friends just to sing depressing songs, as that wouldn't be a good time for anyone.
That was why anyone coming up to the roof would hear Sarah singing the song there instead.
"Letting go When the day comes that I Must say good-bye to you It's the last thing in life I'll ever want to do I know it has to be But it's so hard for me."
