Lois was late leaving the Daily Press. Really late.
There had been a small story she'd wanted to finish up before leaving the office, and she had kindly told the Clark she worked with to go on home, without walking her back to Diana's apartment. She'd be fine... she hoped. And maybe, with any luck, a good someone would be out there and willing to help her if she got into trouble... which, usually, she did.
Tonight seemed to be no exception, because she'd gotten less than a block away from the Daily Press when some creep came out of the shadows and tried to snatch her purse.
Just as stubborn as ever, Lois actually had the gall to try fighting the creep. Bad idea, since the guy had had a gun.
