Charlie shrugged, she'd gotten over the sexism about the same time as Grumm had offered her the world on a platter. The power he'd offered her and the idea of getting Cruger had been all that had kept her going. But she was playing nice and so she allowed herself to smile.
"Hey don't worry about it. I expected attitudes like that and you didn't treat me different cause of it. Forget it"
He offered her the SPD issue laser and for a second she wanted to shoot him. Just to take it and shoot the little creep that dared to call himself a Red Ranger.
But that wasn't her plan. She took the laser keeping her eyes fixed on his as he asked her to make sure he didn't regret the trust. She gave him an SPD salute though it made her sick to her stomach to do it.
"You won't" she said simply before moving ahead of him, not worried about his gun at her back, he was too insufferably noble to actually do the smart thing and take her down. She fell into the old ways, the old patrols and almost genuinely was enjoying herself.
They emerged back into a brighter street and Charlie shot him a grin.
"Not completely horrible is it Landors, teaming up with me. You surprised?"
