"It wasn't...I mean.." He tried to explain but really he had nothing. "Until then I guess it just didn't cross our minds that there could even be a girl like you as red ranger."
He didn't know if he was doing the right thing, giving Charlie another chance. But they were both SPD, he owed her that much at least. He still wouldn't be turning his back on her if he could help it in a fight.
He'd said he would fore fit his weapons. He had. All but his two SPD weapons of coarse. D-shot and laser. But his hands never even went near them when meeting with the A squad Red. That probably wasn't the smartest move, because he should be containing her. He should be able to see right through her, be thought he did, but she watched her entire squad die. Now she had another chance to prove herself. Make things right, it wasn't his choice to give her that. The PTB pulled her here too.
He kept the D-shot, because he had the best aim and it was the smallest weapon, and hesitently handed over the SPD laser. Giving her a suspicious glare. Still unsure of her, and now she was armed. Great move Jack, great move.
"I'm trusting you. Don't make me regret it." He muttered as they stood, the D-shot charged, and the blade had that ominous red glow. "One more thing, there aren't just monsters here. " He slid his dark gaze towards her. "...Vampires. Demons, werewolves. You first." He chimed and waited until she was walking ahead of him, as if he'd be stupid enough to let her stand behind him with a gun at his back while they headed into the dark streets. He began to check alleys, cautiously stopping to listen every now and again for sounds that didn't belong. Ear piercing screams, car break ins, anything. Unfortunately this was so regulation that he began to tune out his surroundings. Let some of his guard drop.
