"Yeah I remember" he said vaguely he'd been into the distant future, seen what Eart had become so that part made sense in someway but that had be much much futher in future than this. Pausing he stepped forwards, keeping his hands at his side so hopefully she'd know he wasn't about to try anything. "This is Earth," he said blankly, stepping closer to the curb, the cars, the shops this wasn't the future it couldn't be not unless nothing had changed which would be a major disappointment. "Right so you're from the future, I'm from...well in this context I'm not entirely sure where I'm from," he didn't sound very concerned about this, in fact if anything he sounded a little excited.
"Anomaly," he corrected turning to look at her, "not exactly. I shouldn't really talk it but well under the circumstances-. They're like rips in time they mostly just bring creatures through, because they don't notice where they're walking but I suppose in theory they could only the one that was open, the one that I came through wasn't working right. When I went through I didn't well go though." He considered this for a moment, in silence. "Do you know the co-ordinates of Earth That Was? Were you anywhere near there? Because they only course rips in time not space."
