Sokka froze at the sound of her voice. He knew she was here and learned from Katara that she was from some sort of alternate timeline or whatever, but he'd never expected to run into her so soon. He turned his head to glance over his shoulder at her, his blue gaze going back to the vendor as the man took Yue's money and handed him what she'd called a hot dog in place of it. Sokka took the item from the man, said his thanks, and turned around fully to Yue.
He tried not to act awkward, but it had been over a year since he'd seen her. Since she'd died in his arms that fateful night at the Spirit Oasis. He'd thought he'd finally gotten over her, but that didn't seem to be the case. It didn't help that knowing he'd failed to prevent Azula from capturing Suki had brought back memories of Yue's death and how he failed to save her as well. Now, having Yue here, standing before him, brought everything back up again - straight back up to the top.
"Yue," he breathed, simply staring for a moment before righting himself. "Uh, thanks. For the hot dog. ...there aren't really dogs in this," he pointed to the food item, "are there?"
