She knew she couldn't defeat him on her own. If she thought she stood a chance, she'd never even consider the communicator. The colour drained from her face as she realized what it was he was going to do, and launched herself at him as her hand made contact with the communicator to alert that others she needed help, and fast. She tried to stop him before he could burn the people, but she wasn't fast enough.
She was on him in a second, fist flying out to try and make contact with his jaw. She maybe didn't stand a chance against winning, but maybe she could get in a few good hits. Nothing she could do to him would make up for what he did to those people. "You monster." she half yelled. "You're a pathetic example of our kind." she was ashamed he was technically a Kryptonian like her. He didn't deserve to wear the symbol of El, or have any variation of the title Superman.
