Her energy was easy to see, never mind sense, and it reminded Anakin briefly of home, of his best friend (and almost something more), Tahiri. This new girl seemed to have the same brightness about her, and though she looked nothing like Tahiri, her smile was enough to make him relax a little.
He nodded and drew a little closer, weaving deftly past the pedestrians from the other direction. Though the world was much different, and the streets almost all on one level, the basics of city-living seemed the same universe-wide, and places didn't come much more crowded than Coruscant, where Anakin had grown up.
"It's a place called Los Angeles, on a planet called Earth. I've only been here a short time myself, but it seems to be among the largest cities in this world. There's quite a few of us from different places, I think," he added, looking at her curiously. She wasn't from here, and she obviously wasn't from his world, which meant she was from somewhere he didn't know, and learning about things he didn't know was one of Anakin's favourite hobbies.
