Sam had been more or less avoiding going out since he'd arrived, more scared than he'd like to admit. Scared that this was a Cylon trick, scared that even if it wasn't some switch would go off in his head and he'd start hurting people.
But he was starting to feel claustrophobic and needed some air. He was walking along some random street, his mind elsewhere, when a girl walked into him. His hands went, automatically, to her shoulders to steady her as she apologized.
"Don't worry, it was my fault," he found it disturbingly easy to smile again as he tried to act natural. "You ok?"
