Mary Jane could see the happiness in May's eyes, and it made her feel even better about the whole thing. Even though she'd only just met the older version of a daughter that wasn't even born yet in her time, she still wanted to see to it that the girl was taken care of and happy.
"Well, when I'm in labor with you, I think I'll be a little preoccupied, but I'll still feel the same way," she replied with a chuckle. "And when I have to ground you, well...let's just try and keep that at a minimum, okay?"
Mary Jane nodded, listening to her daughter and eating her ice cream contentedly. "I'm sure you'll be able to keep up with it. There's plenty of people to help with the crime, and I really think there are just as many people who would help with school." A pause, and she replied thoughtfully, "Do you think that would happen here, though? I'm sure with what's going on, they'd be a little more lenient."
