Buffy could practically read Spike's thoughts when she saw the bland sort of look on his face, but she said nothing about it. Best not to bring it up, otherwise there would definitely be trouble. Integral told her that if they didn't attack first, nothing would harm them, and Buffy believed it.
She wrinkled her nose up a bit at the fountain, but she didn't ignore the conversation that went on about it. She wanted to know everything, to be fully knowledgable when it came right down to it.
"That's a pretty nifty thing to have," she remarked as her own cup was filled up with tea by the maid that Buffy gave a bit of a lingering glance towards. "If only all vampires could have blood fountains, we'd all be able to live in peace." She gave a glance to Spike at that, trying not to smirk, but there was clear amusement in her eyes at the same time.
As if to gain Matthias' trust a bit and to show some good nature, she reached out to pick up some kind of pastry-looking thing from a plate near the center of the table. It was oozing a red, sticky liquid, and she hoped it wasn't blood. Upon further inspection, she found out it was just raspberry.
