"I'll take what I can get," was Buffy's response, returning his smirk with one of her own.
She wasn't all too pleased with the setup, with the formality of it all, but as long as they got a good look around the castle's interior, it was worth it. Though to be honest, she didn't expect to do much eating if there were going to be disgusting monsters shuffling around the dinner table. Maybe she could pass it all off on Spike, he wouldn't mind, she didn't think.
"That's what I thought from the beginning," she added, squinting at the zombies and then flicking her gaze to the Grim Reaper at the gates. "And mister hooded fella, too. All for the glamor."
As they approached, Buffy saw the Reaper lift his scythe, and she half-expected an attack. Her muscles tensed, but they relaxed slowly once he greeted them instead of swinging the blade. She gave a glance towards Spike, almost rolling her eyes at the display, but she said nothing to him as they moved forward and were then greeted by Matthias himself.
With a small amount of caution that she couldn't fully suppress, Buffy moved towards an empty chair and sat down, smiling subtley at Integral.
"Thanks for having us," she said, feeling weird as she said it. They'd been here not even a few weeks ago battling against his undead 'army,' and now they were chatting over dinner? Weird.
