Gabriel had moved to follow before seeing the police car that was parked there that the other man was heading towards. Heaving a sigh, Gabriel stopped dead in his tracks as he raised a hand to massage at his temple. Oh, this was just brilliant, wasn't it? He didn't really come off that badly, did he?
Either way, there was a point where he knew that he'd pressed things a little too far, and this was that point. Turning away from the other man, Gabriel figured that he'd wasted enough time. He'd better get back to the hotel before anyone noticed he was gone. One of the drawbacks of this little encounter, he realized belatedly as he pulled his phone out of his pocket and checked to make sure that the lobby was empty, was that he couldn't tell anyone about it.
