Despite the fact that there had been a slight frown on Mary Jane's face just before Peter entered her room, it faded immediately upon sight of him and was even replaced by a small, affectionate smile in greeting. Even if she had that far-too-selfish feeling building up inside that Peter had less time for her now than ever before, she really couldn't hold it against him. It hadn't been his fault she'd gotten mugged, after all, and she didn't have the heart to even let on that in her former state of despair, she'd even entertained the notion that he should have been there to save her. She felt awful for it, and she was going to forget it.
"It's okay," she said, seeing his concerned expression as she sat up more in the bed. "I don't even know why they're keeping me here, I'm fine."
